We are very proud to be part of the Austin tech community. So it was especially gratifying that Built in Austin reporter James Risley spent some time with us and decided to write a piece on Double Dog.

We have released Double Dog to 500 lucky Android users. These will be the first individuals to demo the Android version of the app. Thank you for signing up and congratulations on being picked!

Tester feedback will be compiled and analyzed by the Double Dog Team. The general audience release will follow as swiftly as possible.
And a LOT of updates to both Android and iOS will follow after that.
Veteran Top Dogs, please mentor the new Android beta testers! Add them to your existing dare groups and help them get oriented. Keep in mind that they may be facing UI obstacles that you are not.
Android beta testers, thank you for being so eager to test this exciting new app. You are already helping immensely (see below).
Trivia: Dave was Android user before the release of Double Dog on iOS. Now her will be dual wielding.

We love the weekly tournament! And all the great people that compete every week to achieve Top Dog status. After gathering a lot of feedback, we now want to make it better. Here’s the idea, let us know what you think.
When we first added the “likes” to the tournament, out intent was for the best videos to be rewarded. But instead we created a system in which people are careful about giving likes and rewarded for daring other users to give them likes. Similarly, we added “sharing” with the goal of increasing the number of great videos in the feed, but that resulted in a wave of videos making it hard to find the really good ones.
By removing the “likes” and “shares” we hope to increase the quality of videos in the feed while making the tournament fair for everyone.
This is still under consideration, please reply and let us know what you think.
Also, we clearly need help naming things. “REshare ME” and “I-REshare”?? Seriously? That’s the best we came up with!
